Blog Favorites

Wow, I can't wait until my new computer arrives.  Right now posting a blog is like pulling teeth.  I could grow old waiting for all my applications to open.  Good thing it's shipped.  Good thing I'm patient.  Stop laughing.  Just stop.

Earlier this week, the
My Favorite Author blog picked my LJ as one of their favorite blogs, which tickles me to no end!  They're also running a contest y'all might want to check out.  And herewith, per the "rules" are some of my very favorite blogs, in no particular order because I take such things way too seriously and don't have the time to commit to a twelve step process of ranking.

Here are the rules:

1. Put the logo and rules on your blog.
2. Link the person who nominated you. (here)
3. List seven of your favourite blogs.
4. Tell them they’ve been nominated!

Favorite blogs:

GALLEYCAT - If you want to know what's what in publishing, this is your first stop.

PUBRANTS: A VERY NICE LITERARY AGENT INDULGES IN POLITE RANTS ABOUT QUERIES, WRITERS, AND THE PUBLISHING INDUSTRY - Literary agent Kristin Nelson talks about the day to day biz.  She tells it like it is...nicely, of course.

WHATEVER: TAUNTING THE TAUNTABLE SINCE 1998 - John Scalzi is a funny guy.  He talks about publishing and shoots from the hip.

SMART BITCHES, TRASHY BOOKS - Takes one to know one, I guess, and I love irreverence.

JANET REID - Literary agent Janet Reid subscribes to the snarkier side of the force, and we love her for it.

THE GRAVEYARD SHIFT - A former detective, who runs a phenomenal blog with everything you might ever want to know about law enforcement.  Seriously.

PUBLISHING TRENDS - The name just says it all.

I have a ton of other favorites, from my authors' blogs to those of other agents, but these are at the tippity top of my list.  Enjoy!
